According to the Act of November 25, 2004, on the Profession of Sworn Translator (Ustawa z dnia 25 listopada 2004 r. O zawodzie tłumacza przysięgłego) of the Republic of Poland, a sworn translator is entitled to:
- Translate and certify translations from a foreign language into Polish and from Polish into a foreign language.
- Verify and certify translations prepared by other translators.
- Certify copies of documents in a foreign language.
- Provide oral translations.
