The firm’s philosophy
Since 2015 Attorneys’ Association «Bauman Kondratyuk» has been guided by one simple principle: the firm’s reputation is worth more than any single mandate. Everything we do every day — from a client’s first email to the final document in a matter — is measured against the value system we have set for ourselves and for our team.
Our values are not a marketing statement but a working tool. They determine which mandates we accept, how we deal with clients, opponents, courts, and regulators, and which compromises we will not make. They are also the foundation of our internal code of conduct and the test we apply when hiring new lawyers.
What follows is the six core values that underpin our daily work, and the four behavioural commitments we accept towards every client of the firm.
Six core values
Honesty
We tell the client the truth — even when it is unwelcome, and even when it does not match expectations. An honest forecast is worth more than a pleasant one.
Independence
Our professional position is not influenced by third-party pressure, by regulators, or by our own commercial interests. The client’s lawful interest comes first.
Professional excellence
Every document leaving the firm meets the same quality standard — regardless of the size of the mandate, the complexity of the matter, or the profile of the client.
Confidentiality
Attorney–client privilege is absolute. We build our processes, our infrastructure, and our internal culture so that client information is protected by default.
Partnership with the client
We see ourselves as part of the client’s team, not as an external service provider. The client’s success is our success; a setback is our shared responsibility.
Accountability
We take personal responsibility for the outcome at the level of the partner leading the mandate, without diffusing that responsibility down the team.
Four commitments to the client
Transparent budget and timetable
Before work begins, you know the overall budget estimate, the reporting format, and the rules for cost escalation. No hidden charges, and no surprises on the invoice.
Direct partner access
The partner leading the mandate is personally accountable for the outcome and remains directly accessible to the client — without intermediaries or filters.
Reasonable response times
Our standard response time on live matters is within twenty-four hours on any business day. Urgent matters are handled immediately.
Declining matters outside our expertise
If a matter falls outside our professional capability, we say so openly and refer the client to colleagues with the relevant specialisation.
The firm’s reputation is worth more than any single mandate. We do not compromise on our values — even when it costs us a client or a case.
